League 1 Announcement

Due to the positive impact on the game and the work that has gone in to the new teams we have made the following decision

• League 1 will run the next 2 seasons and be reviewed at the end of season 35.
• If we make a decision to remove it then it will be done at the end of season 36.

This means League 1 will be with us for at least 3 seasons

Promotion and Relegation

• The top 2 sides from League 1 will gain automatic promotion to the Championship
• The bottom 2 sides in the Championship will be relegated to League 1
• The sides finishing 13th and 14th in the Championship and 3rd and 4th in League 1 will contest the playoffs
• Playoff Semis will be over 2 legs and will be Championship 13th vs 14th (13th home leg 2) and League 1 3rd vs 4th (3rd home leg 2)
• The winners will meet in a one off final where the winner will be in the Championship the following season
