The World Loan Market

Rather than ATM a player you can loan them to the World Loan Market for a season. For this you have 3 options / scenarios based around a wider loan market that would exist outside the limits of TDE:

1. Loan to the lower leagues
  • These clubs are poor so only give you 20% of the players ATM value as a loan fee
  • However your player will be a big fish and so will play 4,000 to 6,000 minutes of football
  • But the opposition will be poorer and coaching weaker so improvement will be slower - 1 ab every 4 minutes
  • So improvement will be 1,000 to 1,500 abs
2. Loan to a minor European club
  • Slightly richer - will give 40% ATM value as a loan fee
  • More competition for places - Guaranteed to play only 2250 to 3750 mins
  • Decent rate of improvement - 1 abs every 3 mins
  • So improvement will be 750 to 1,250 abs
3. Loan to a top European club
  • 60% of ATM value as loan fee
  • Very competitive - will only get 1,000 to 2,000 mins
  • Great improvement with experience and coaching - 1 ab ever 2 mins
  • So improvement will be 500 to 1,000 abs


How this works in principle.
  • You loan to this market rather than sell to ATM
  • The player is removed from your roster for the season for the chosen % of the ATM fee
  • End of season we randomly choose a number of minutes in the range selected for that player
  • The player returns to the roster with that number of abs for the manager to add across stats



Pros for the manager
  • A player that probably couldn't be loaned out and wouldn't play in the game gets to improve
  • They get some value up front and then a more valuable player later
Cons for the manager
  • Less Cash
  • Have to manage the squad with one less player and less cash
  • Gamble on how many abs will be gained.
Pros for the game
  • Less Cash
  • Players can continue to develop rather than becoming ATM fodder

Limits
  • Only ATM eligible players can have this (so max 23r GK / FW, 20r DF/MF)
  • Only for players aged 19 and up
  • Maximum 1 per season per team to start with to assess impact
  • Must be done before game 1
  • Cannot be recalled during the season
  • Limits around ab usage to be confirmed but probably unlimited based on the max and the starting rating of players
